Last week the government announced 10 potential sites for a (fast-tracked) new generation of Nuclear Power stations (which was reffered to by Ed Milliband as ‘New Nuclear’) – these are:
Braystones, Cumbria
Kirksanton, Cumbria (UKs oldest Wind Farm to be replaced)
Bradwell, Essex
Hartlepool, County Durham
Heysham, Lancashire
Hinkley Point, Somerset
Oldbury, Gloucestershire
Sellafield, Cumbria
Sizewell, Suffolk
Wylfa, Anglesey

Continuing on from Johnny Ball championing Nuclear Power, i came across a very interesting letter in The Herald today from Kerr McGregor of the Scottish Solar Energy Group. Aside from detailing an appealing energy-mix solution, the summary paragraph addresses the Nuclear debate far more elegantly that i ever could:
